Beretta 92/96 Buffer
Item#: BER1
Beretta 92/96 Stainless Steel Guide Rod and Recoil Buffer ™. Our buffer for the Beretta 92/96 is a departure from our original line of buffers. We designed our own guide rod since it was not possible to place a cushioning buffer between the slide and frame without this addition. This Recoil Buffer fits 92/96 with a guide rod length of 3 9/16 inches. Replacement buffer sleeves are available.

Best Buffer
Bought and installed one of these on a friends Taurus PT92AF.
Was a easy install and works great. Slide would not lock back
at first after a couple test rounds it was ok..
Buy a couple spare buffer tubes. more accurate than the spring
over hydraulic buffer that he had before, less bullet drop by a couple

Beretta 92/96 Recoil Buffer
Bought two Beretta recoil buffers, one for my 92 the other for my 96. In the 96 it works great with no problems of any kind. The guide rod bushing for the other pistol will not fit into the slide, so can not be used.

Great once you know how to install
This little upgrade will reduce about 15-20% of the noticeable recoil, which is an excellent return on investment. Installing it, on the other hand, can be a choir unless done properly. First, hold the slide vertically with the front end pointing straight down. Then, drop the buffer ring into the slide and adjust so it is seated. Next, drop in the recoil spring to help keep the ring in place. Rotate the slide horizontally so that the top of the slide is facing down and the front is facing left. Holding the slide firmly with your left hand, and with some pressure against the table, use your right hand to insert the recoil buffer. You should be able to peer over to the left to visually guide the recoil rod through the ring. Once that's done, seat the recoil buffer as you would a normal guide. It's actually quite easy so long as you've got a good purchase on the slide and can see the ring hole as you guide in the recoil buffer rod.

Beretta 96 Buffer
Very high quality product. In my opinion, the stainless guide rod is an upgrade from the stock guide rod. The buffer assembly fits perfectly into my Beretta 96. My gun functions very reliably with the buffer assembly in place - so far I have fired over 400 rounds with no malfunctions of any kind. I only wish the unit came with a couple extra replacement polymer shock buffs.
